Our impact

When a neighbor is kidnapped, the bills don't stop. We make sure the family does not face it alone.

Since January 2024, Sanctuary Evanston has helped families keep their homes, their lights, and their dignity, while the community watches out for one another.

What we do

Detention
Support

We raise emergency funds for a lawyer, a bond and up to three months of housing when a loved one is detained.

Housing

We pay rent, deposits and utility bills directly so families can stay in their homes.

Train & Educate

We train neighbors to know their rights and show up for one another.

Case Support

We connect families to wraparound services through trusted local partners.

Behind every number is a neighbor who didn't face it alone

Behind each figure is a family that kept its home, a parent who got to work, or a loved one who had a lawyer. These are the results of neighbors giving what they can and showing up for one another.
